High mode sustains around 3000 lumens for 7 minutes, drops down to medium’s 1700 lm for a minute, then trundles along at about 900 lumens for 4 hours. The flood mode only uses the LED lights in the edge of the head while, in the spot mode only the central LED light is used.

I experienced it in one of my hikes when it started to feel heavy after 20min of holding it, and I needed to hold it on an outstretched hand. We just needed something reliable and handy to light up the whole of the garden when taking dogs out last thing at night.
